As Mule Dog Records finished it's first year of operations with our celebration at Media Play, I couldn't help thinking this has been a time of many firsts.
This has been a "first time for everything" period for us since we have never run a record company before-but the most important thing in life is learning and growing.
To me, just getting the first CD recorded, mixed, pressed and released was a great personal achievement that I'll always be thankful for. The response from our many friends has been overwhelming, and you have our gratitude.
The most exciting thing about all of this, is that in this time of many "firsts", the best "firsts" are yet to come as we reach out to meet the opportunities the last part of the 90's have to offer. We do so with the knowledge that we have many new friends and associates to share the struggles as well as the rewards.
On a lighter note, I'm still going to play my electronic saxophone, though I've been told by one of the road crew that "My kid has a sax like that, except it blows bubbles." Don't knock it, it worked for Lawrence Welk!
I'd like to thank the entire staff of Mule Dog Records and the road crew for their help thru this most amazing time.I especially want to thank the man with the heart of gold, Papa Joe Salvi of WLUV AM/FM Loves Park/Rockford for giving me the chance to perform on live radio and for playing many cuts from the new CD. This local exposure has helped us to begin building the local base we need to take us up the next step of the ladder.
Today Loves Park/Rockford tomorrow the world? Actually yes, thanks to the help of Chris Pielak our Web Master, Mule Dog Records can now be heard world-wide on the
World Wide Web!
Thanks again,
Tom G. Leary
