Dugg Collins began as a radio announcer at KCTX in Childress, TX. He wound up in Amarillo where he became a legend at KDJW/KBUY. He currently plays Classic Country format. He was named Music Director of the Year by Record World Magazine in 1976 and named Disc Jockey of the year in 1979 by the CMA. He was inducted into the Texas Panhandle Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 1996, and voted into the radio wing of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999. On top of all these accomplishments he has also had quite a musical career. He had two records on the Country charts in '79 and has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry. Dugg now brings us a very fine CD of Western Swing. This is another must for those of us who enjoy great Western Swing and Country! There's everything you want in a mellow well paced Country and Western Swing album. Dugg's vocals are wide, rich and as expansive as his Texas homeland. He sings with a genuine warm, Western feel and presence making the music sound like...well..Sounds Like Texas! You can visit him at:
