Don and Annie Kidwell

The "River of Nightlife" starts out with the title track sung by Don. It's a great ballad with a beautiful background of "Moodie Blues" type strings and is one of the finest ballads this year. The CD swings into a nice medium up-tempo number sung by Annie. "Feelin' Kind Of Lonely Tonight" has some nice fiddle and a really punchy but laid back brass section. Don takes a turn next with another medium tempo tune with "It's Your Baby, You Rock It". This one has a really nice Traditional Country feel with some solid piano and guitar work taking turns creating a great chorus theme. "Baby Your Gone" is an up-tempo Modern Country tune sung by Annie that really rocks with some driving country drumming. The CD continues to turn out one good song after another making this a very fine and polished work guaranteed to please the Traditional Country fan. A special treat is Don's rendition of the big hit "Rainy Night In Georgia". Don really does this great song justice and shows what an excellent ballad singer he is.
