CROSS CANADIAN RAGWEED

HIGHWAY 377

We haven't heard an album with this much raw electric power in a long time. Actually this one is very reminiscent of another top notch touring power group we reviewed in last Summer's issue: MEDICINE HAT. The group has a very powerful guitar/bass/drums sound and can be compared to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Marshal Tucker. I hear some Stones and Zeppelin at times so I guess I would boil down the description of their music to Southern and Classic Rock. The highlight of the band is most definitely the lead vocals of Cody Canada. Cody's voice is well seasoned and has the perfect edge to cut though the hard edges without being too raspy. His voice reminds me of Steve Earle and Jack Ingram with a little Eagles and Van Morrison at times. Cody really makes the group, and what a group it is! This is a must own CD. We'll be keeping an eye on the charts for this rising star. you can visit CROSS CANADIAN RAGWEED at:
